Going to the Chapel

It's the royal wedding today! Did any of you get up early to watch it? I love my sleep far too much for that, but I will admit I was definitely curious to see what Meghan's dress would look like and who would don the most ridiculous fascinator.

Okay, so this little chapel is not quite as grand as St. George's, but I love it! The die is actually from a Christmas set, but I found this sentiment while playing around with some other stamps and was inspired to combine the two into a simple white and silver wedding card. Do you think the new Duchess of Sussex would approve, given the elegant simplicity of the dress she chose?

I have a confession to make about the beautiful silver foil in the background, though ... it's recycled! Ever since I got back into papercrafting, I've become a bit of a hoarder of pretty papers. When I saw this gorgeous patterned silver foil from our Christmas crackers about to get recycled, I shamelessly nabbed it to be repurposed! It's been sitting in my paper scraps bin for months, so it was time to put it to use. Let's just call it my "something borrowed" for this card. ;-)
