Happy Saint Patrick's Day!

Saint Patrick's Day Shamrock Love Note
Happy St. Patrick's Day, everyone!

Boy has it been hard to steal a little time to come and post a new project lately! Both of my little ones have been sick for a week and a half now, so we had a quiet day of celebrating today.

While some of our neighbours went out and painted the town green, we stayed home and made an Irish stew, homemade shamrock shaped tortilla chips (cookie cutter and spinach tortillas, with just a little olive oil and salt, baked in the oven at 350 degrees until crisp!), and these cute little 3x3 inch shamrock love notes! Wouldn't these be adorable in a lunch box with a little treat?

But you don't own a shamrock die, you say? Neither do I! If you look closely, you'll see that I'm faking it with three little heart die cuts and a little scrap of green for the stem. I love this cute little stitched heart die and will use any excuse to pull it out with my Big Shot.

Here's the dimensions for the layers if you'd like to try recreating this card:

Thick white cardstock for the base, cut to 6" by 3" and folded in half
Green cardstock mat, cut to 2.75" by 2.75"
White cardstock for layer, cut to 2.5" by 2.5"
Green cardstock scrap to cut out 3 green hearts, plus a tiny scrap for the stem

Of course, if you have a heart shaped die or punch in your collection that's a different size, you could always resize the card to fit your own supplies! I like the look of a 1/4" border, so just subtract 1/4" from each side to measure your layers.

Happy crafting!
